History
The National Youth Hotline is a 1-800 phone number youth can call for free when they need someone to talk to, that will listen and not judge them. This service is long overdue in a small community based country like Turks and Caicos where it is hard for a youth to talk to someone without talking to everyone. A group of qualified counselors is spearheading this venture to ensure anonymity and quality service.
As we are an independent non-profit organization the Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre has generously offered space to host our Launch on May 4th from 6pm — 7pm. A small reception will be hosted immediately following the launch.
The establishment of the hotline is supported of the Department of Youth Affairs, local telecommunications companies and many guidance counselors and volunteers.
